Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to our Parfitts Interiors website Frequently asked questions.

Will the room need to be empty and the old carpet taken up?

Yes, rooms must be completely empty of all furniture and personal belongings before our fitters arrive. If you’d like us to uplift and dispose of your existing flooring, we can do this for a small additional charge — just let us know in advance.

What are your payment terms?

We ask for a 50% deposit when you place your order so we can order your materials. The balance is due one day before fitting. By paying your deposit, you’re agreeing to our full terms and conditions.

Where can I find your Terms & Conditions?

Our full Terms & Conditions can be viewed on our website. They explain everything from fitting guarantees to storage and cancellation policies.

What days and times are you open?

We’re open:
Monday to Friday: 9am – 5pm
Saturday: 10am – 2pm
Sunday: Closed

Are your fitters employed by you or self-employed subcontractors?

We use a trusted team of professional fitters — a mix of employed and self-employed specialists who have worked with us for many years. Every fitter represents Parfitt’s Carpets & Interiors and meets our high standards of workmanship and customer care.

How soon can we have our flooring fitted?

Lead times can vary depending on the product and availability, but typically fittings are scheduled within 2–4 weeks once materials have arrived. We’ll always give you a clear estimated date at the time of order.

How long is the guarantee?

All our fitting work is guaranteed for 3 years, and most manufacturers provide their own warranty on materials. If you ever have an issue, simply contact us — we’re here to help.

Do you take all the waste away with you?

Yes, we can remove and dispose of your old (non-contaminated) flooring and any waste materials for a small disposal charge, usually from £100 depending on quantity.

Can I vacuum my new carpet straight away?

Yes — light vacuuming from day one is recommended. Your new carpet may shed a little at first; this is normal and will settle after a few vacuums.

What should I use to clean my new LVT floor?

We recommend using a neutral pH cleaner designed for LVT flooring — avoid bleach or harsh chemicals. Always check the manufacturer’s care guide or ask us for our recommended products to keep your floor looking beautiful for years.
